MY FRIENDS AND I STAYED THE WEEKEND AT THE LOEWS HOTEL DURING MEMORIAL WEEKEND THIS YEAR IN 2010. HOWEVER THE DAY THAT WE ALL CHECKED OUT LEFT MY PURSE THAT WAS SITTING THE ENTIRE WEEKEND ON THE TABLE WHICH WAS LOCATED BY THE WINDOW. WE CHECKOUT OF THE HOTEL AND WAS HEADED ON THE WAY TO THE AIRPORT BUT UNFORTUNATLY I REALIZED THAT I HAD FORGOTTEN MY PURSE INSIDE OF THE ROOM. #40 OF COURSE MY FAULT#41 BUT CHECK THIS OUT!!! WE ARRIVED BACK TO THE HOTEL AND I TOLD SECURITY WHAT HAD HAPPEN AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE H*LL THEY SAID quotO SHE HAS BEEN WORKING HERE FOR 10 YRS. I JUS T CAN NOT SEE HER STEALING ANYTHING AND IF SHE WERE TO HAVE FOUND ANYTHING SHE WOULD HAVE PLACE IT IN LOST AND FOUND.quot HOW ABOUT LOST N FOUND IS AT THE SECURITY BOTH AT THE FRONT DOOR UNDER A LIL A** BOOTHE!!! #40 WHO DOES THAT#41? They were not helpful at all they didint offer us another or anything because i had to catch a flight and i had no id. i contacted their insurance co and they were very rude i really will like to put their insurance claim adjuster on spot but i know that they will delete my review so im going to CHILL!!! But just to make long story short if something were to happen to ur belongingsdamaged or even someone getting shot at the LOEWS THEY WOULDNT EVEN CARE!! POOR POOR POOR POOR TOWARDS SOME OF THE EMPLOYEES!!! AND THE CRAZY THING ABOUT IT IVE STAYED THERE BEFORE THAT WEEKEND I TRUELY BELEIVE THAT I WAS TREATED UNFAIRLY!!! BUT TO THE WORKERS WHO WORK OUT AT THE POOL THANKS ALOT YOU HELP ME ENJOY MY STAY!staying there again maybe

My boss took our entire office to Miami Jan29-31st 2010 and I cant wait to go back. Loews was fantastic one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. cab service was great and the location couldnt be better. The hotel was very clean fun and comfortable. Plenty of bars restaurants in the area and who can beat south beach right at your back door. This hotel is one of the best Miami has to offer. The is worth it if your looking for relaxation comfort security fun cleanliness and AH yes PERFECTION.

My friend had to book this hotel, she wanted a nice place to stay for her birthday. Got in early after disembarking a cruise - had little sleep the night before as we were out late and then packing to leave the ship. Got in, no surprise we could not check in, in the morning, but it was well into afternoon by the time the room was ready. Tried to crash at that time because I was too exhausted to do any sightseeing without a nap. Well, there was a sound coming through the walls like major demo was going on. Crashing, wrenching noises, you could feel the walls shake it was so extreme. I am a night shift worker, accustomed to sleeping with daytime noise. So it isn't like I expect absolute silence. I had ear plugs, but it sounded like a train was about to come through the wall. Completely overpriced, the room was ok and we had a balcony but imho no room should be rented out if it is so noisy it is stressful to stay there.

Yes, you can get a better deal down South Beach at a lesser hotel. But if the purpose of your vacation is relaxation and fun, then I would highly recommend the Lowes Miami Beach. Probably two thigns stood out in my mind: the service from the staff and the beautiful surroundings. Everyone from housekeeping to the bell boys, to the pool staff was remarkably helpful and extremely professional. IT seemed they would accomodate any request. The hotel was beautifully groomed and kept; the marble in the main lobby, the pool and landscaping--wow! Our room was a deluxe ocean veiw with a balcony. If you are going when the weather is good--I would totally spring for the additional $* for an ocean view balcony! We would watch the sun rise in the morning and listen to teh ocean at night. It was magical. The location couldn't be better--you were right in the middle of everything, we wound up walking everywhere except for the day it was raining. The security was really good for the hotel and we felt very safe. Yes, Lowes offers an almost ala carte stay, you do have to pay for the fitness center ($*/day), beach chairs ($* ea) and some other things, but we found ways to get arond all of them. We walked on the boardwalk during teh day and salsa danced at night for exercise. We brought towels to the beach and plopped down on those. All in all, the hotel is worth the extra $*/day if you dont' want to deal with hassels and poor service. We will be coming back!

I've stayed at various Loews Hotels across the country and the overall experience has been good. I've stayed many times at the Loews in Miami, including on my honeymoon, and this has got to be the worst time ever. They never told us about the early construction starting between 7-8am. Hey, work needs to be done...I get it. But why did the fire alarm go off in my room from 8am-10am? Ok, things happen. Does that mean that it's excusable to hear a RAT chewing and knawing its way through the wall at all hours of the day and night? My parents had the same problem at their house a few years back and I KNOW that sound. When I told the manager all she had to say was that there are no rats in her hotel. I guess she has the only building in the world without that problem. Got a new room. Should have stayed with the rats. The smell of amonia and bleach was so overwhelming that I started to vomit at 2am.....not to mention the migrane that my wife and I got from the smell. Changed my room again at 4am. They started drilling OUTSIDE of my room at 7am. After 4 nights, I don't think we slept more than 12 hours the whole time. After calling Travel online and telling them that we wanted to leave a day early and stay at a different hotel, they said the Loews would only issue a refund if we checked out within 5 minutes or less. After this nightmare, we had less than 5 minutes to leave. Too many hotels to chose from that actually care about customer service. The Loews just lost me and everyone else within earshot of me as a customer.
