I just got back from staying at The Ramada Hollywood Beach Resort. The hotel is gross. we arrived at 1:00 and was told we had to give them a $* deposit then we were given the wrong room key. We finally got to our room and one of the beds was broken and the other one had blood on my sheets. I called down to the front desk and they said that they would send someone right up. We decided not to wait and head to the pool. The pool was really nice but the water was very warm. We got out of the pool and headed to get something eat. We ended up getting back to the room around 830. The room was the same as we left it with a broken bed and blood on the sheets. I went down to the front desk and the women gave me attitude. She said she send someone up there and i said well they didn't come. She called the cleaning lady and she said she went up there and fixed everything but she didn't. The lady at the desk then asked me if it was a small blood stain and i took up my camera and showed her pictures that i took of it. The sheets of changed but the service was still bad for the rest of the week. Its a great location but the service is awful.

My grandson and I stayed here late June. The location on the boardwalk, the free contintental breakfast (don't worry about purchasing the much complained about add'l breakfast, the continental was great), the clean pool, courteous staff, all of it was excellent. The hotel is going through some much needed renovation, but for the price, no one could expect a better vacation. The concierge was most helpful with all our needs, and the dining / shopping opportunities were fine, we did not even bother with a car rental, all required is within the hotels easy walking distance. On a budget, a great vacation destination.

Check in great. Staff friendly. Hotel overall needs imrovement. The common areas were run down and could have been cleaner. Our first room was filthy. After complaining and calling tarvel agency I was moved to a great room . It was clean ad the view was wonderful. The continental breakfast was as expected, pretty good. Eggs and omletts were available for and addiional charge of * per person. The beach is as good as any on the east coast. Even locals enjoy that stretch of beach. The broadwalk is great for early morning walks. It can get crowded.during the day. I would stay again if I paid for an upgraded room. The standard was awful.

Spent over a week here to escape the blizzards of the Northeast. Nice room amenities: mini kitchen in the room, comfortable bed, WiFi, decent TV, nice view of the beautiful beach. Also decent breakfast buffet. Staff was pleasant enough, but not overly helpful in enabling you to get the most out of your stay and the hotel's facilities. Did have trouble getting there b/c of snowstorms, and when contacted, the hotel was fine with "sliding" my stay over to accomodate the change in my flight plans. So kudos for that. Ocean-front commercial area surrounding hotel is a bit kitschy, except that there's a wide variety of restaurants. The "mall" that is supposed to be inside the hotel is virtually non-existent, more than 1/2-empty. Overall, however, a good deal for an oceanfront room.
